Abstract:

Critical Thinking with AI is a prototype of an open-source, web-based learning environment designed to strengthen college students’ critical thinking about generative AI. This project positions AI as a site of inquiry by developing a structured way for students to engage with AI-generated content and build the skills to use it critically. Through four interactive modules, students will evaluate AI outputs for reliability, identify bias, analyze rhetorical strategies, and reflect on their reasoning. Designed for writing and research-intensive courses, the prototype provides a scalable, practical model for teaching AI literacy alongside critical thinking.
