Project Name: Spanish Feminist Linguistics Repository
Grantees: Silvia Rivera Alfaro and Natalia Villarroel Torres
Discipline: Sociolinguistics, historical linguistics, feminist linguistics
Funding Cycle: 2022–2023
Summary: The Spanish Feminist Linguistics Repository is one of the digital resources of Indisciplinadxs: Feminist Linguistics, a digital public-facing learning and research community of linguists across the Americas and Europe who have been working together since May 2020. The repository is a public-facing digital archive on feminism, language, gender, and sexuality in relation to Spanish that can be used in pedagogical processes and research projects by scholars and students. We have created this repository to put together the works on the mentioned subjects as a response to the silences in Spanish-speaking academia. In addition to academic publications, our repository will include primary sources for studying how Latinx and Latin American women have been taking the floor in the political arena throughout history.
